The production YOUR PAIN / MY PLEASURE is copyright considerable adaptation of the myth of ancient Greece, which tells the story of the Mycenaean royal house shortly after the conquest of Troy. The fates of the main protagonists of the myth – Electra, Orestes, Agamemnon and Clytemnestra – have become a central theater námětovým material at the very beginning of European drama – in the golden age of ancient theater. In this crucial period of world theater culture dramatic authors proceeded from the same mythological framework, process the same ideas, but specific forms are often content and form differ appreciably. The fate of the Mycenaean throne is extensive story culminating in feuds within a few generations. The production team of students of the Theatre Faculty adapted only a slice of the story – especially puts a spotlight on Elektra, the daughter of the Mycenaean king. Significant dramatic potential Mycenaean myth pervades the work of all three key ancient tragedy – Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides, primarily on the basis of these adaptations, we myth survives to this day. For almost two and a half thousand years already Myth family blood provoked a wide range of playwrights and directors, production team effort was to trace this tradition and inspired by the most prominent forms. Text productions prepared Marika Smreková, graduating student of Master Drama director, and Mathias Tenon holes, a graduate of the Bachelor program of Theatre Dramaturgy. Author's text works within quotations with striking adaptations Elektra – especially of the twentieth century (Hugo von Hofmannsthal: Elektra, tr. Pujman Ferdinand and Charles Jernek, GYÜRK László: Electric, my love !, disputed. Francis and George Stier Spot), which connects with other dramatic and non-dramatic texts and sources outside the artistic literature (William Shakespeare: Hamlet, arguing. Martin Hilský, George Orwell: 1984, tr. Eva Šimečková, speech Milos Kopecky IV. Congress of the Association of Dramatic Artists).
The intention of the production team's view on myth, not only from the plane of a breakdown of a family but also a broader view, which shows the social structure, based on which the story is told. In this regard, work on the production team brought to blend with the atmosphere of the ancient theme of literary tradition sci-fi, which represent, for example, George Orwell, Yevgeny Zamyatin or brothers Arkady and Boris Strugatsky.
