University of Pardubice introduce science and technology in an unconventional light

Science and Technology unconventionally. That could be summarized in brief cognitive program popular early evening on Wednesday 21 September, which for all candidates and the public University of Pardubice prepared to begin the new academic year.

The event, entitled NIGHT ** with science and technology ** will be held 14 to 21 am in the modern premises of the Faculty of Chemical Technology in Pardubice – Polabinách.

An evening of science and technology continues the tradition of the Dinner with science and chemistry, but offers a varied program. Besides chemical magic, visitors can look forward to playing with mathematical fractals, physics experiments, robotics demonstration or exhibition of artworks inspired by chemistry. The implementation of the program are involved in addition to the Faculty of Chemical Technology, also Jan Perner Transport Faculty, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Faculty of Economics and Administration.

In addition to various tests and workshops, visitors can also visit the interesting lecture of the series „Conversations At & T or Exempla Trahunt“ on „Restoration of Charles Bridge ** – ** A field XI.“ This subject will be discussed Ing. Karol Bayer and Assoc. ak. sculptures. Jiri Novotny of the restoration of the Faculty of the University of Pardubice, artistically oriented faculty of the University, based in Litomysl. The lecture will focus on the recent restoration of rail – an array of Charles XI, A Bridge, one of the most important Czech cultural heritage. The head of the university team carrying out scientific surveys of the bridge was Ing. Karol Bayer, dean of the Faculty of restoration, which explains what his team's work consisted of: * „We were involved in technological cooperation in the rehabilitation field and XI in the preservation mode of academic work done. Jiri Novotny sculptor. Our cooperation has been focused on the exploration of selected stones from the storage of dismantled stone blocks from the Charles Bridge. The survey aimed to gather information regarding the above general condition, or specific damage to individual selected blocks. “*

The lecture will be held in the auditorium C3 17 to 19 hours.

Part of the autumn series of popular educational events, University of Pardubice, prepared for the public and especially youth, is the so-called „road-show“ ** Science and technology in schools, courts **, in which teams of three faculties of the University of Pardubice will visit the four selected schools in Pardubice region: Industrial High School in Letohrad (20 9), Gymnasium Dašická in Pardubice (22 9), Elementary school in Třemošnice (26 9) and the Moravian school in Třebová (27 9). Pupils invited 13 county schools will be able to try out experiments, trials and attractions from the world of science, engineering and technology in the form of adventure in the campus.

Both non-fiction events are supported by individual national project „Support for technical and scientific fields“ of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and financially by the European Social Fund and state budget.
