University of Pardubice started to build a modern teaching and research center in the transport sector in the technology area in Doubravice

University of Pardubice begin construction of a modern teaching and research center in transport, which occurs in the Technology of the University of Pardubice in Doubravice. On Monday 29 Rector of the University in August signed a contract with a construction company that will build teaching and research work done.

On Monday 29 August at the University of Pardubice will meet representatives of the parties to sign a contract for building construction. University of Pardubice fills rector prof. Ing. Miroslav Ludwig, MD. And the contractor, the company Zlínstav, as will represent the Chairman of the Board George Stack. The contract will be signed in the meeting room of the University Rector's Office at 10:30 hours.

Zlínstav Company, Inc., won the public tender for the contractor, which was announced at the end of February this year, to which signed up 12 candidates.

Technology in the University Yard at Doubravice grow until the end of 2013 modern teaching and research center for transportation (VVCD). The project will be built entirely new infrastructure for the needs of Jan Perner Transport Faculty, focused on the development of teaching and research in the field of transport, with particular emphasis on students of doctoral and master's studies.

Bohumil Culek, PhD., Dean of the Faculty of Jan Perner Transport.

The building with a total floor area of ​​nearly 3500 square meters incur three specialized classrooms, 22 light and heavy laboratories and facilities for teaching and academic staff. Laboratories are equipped with high quality laboratory instruments, such as dynamic test condition with a „quick“ roll to determine crashové characteristics of materials, testing the static strength test of building construction, testing synchronous motors, testing equipment of railway wheels, laboratory light and electron microscopy, or folding platform for cars.

Project VVCD University of Pardubice is funded by the Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovation (OP) in the Priority axis 4: Infrastructure for teaching in high schools associated with research.
