Answers to these and other questions already knows about fifty sixth class pupils of three primary schools in Ostrava. Morning full of games and competitions have enjoyed the Faculty of Civil Engineering Technical University of Ostrava on Tuesday 21 June 2011.
Popularization of technical and scientific fields is an integral part of activities aimed to increase the interest of high school students to study in technical and natural sciences colleges. These students, however, have often already clear in the first year of study, which is to get professional direction. Reach students and sixth grades to bring them to study in college technical direction was a bold step in the right direction. "Fundamentals of technical thinking naturally in all of us. An architect or builder is a beautiful profession, which give individuals a chance to change the environment around us, "said in his opening speech to pupils Dean of the Faculty of Daria Kubečková crannied.
After the performance of the University faculty and students who were divided into five-person team competition, marked with colored caps and a plan in hand, rushed along the corridors of the faculty to perform tasks exactly according to the established order. Enthusiastic children not only recognized the building materials or rocks, but they themselves design the ideal house or apartment or build the highest tower. And just to nezaměstnávaly head was prepared for them as well as physical skills competition on time.
"We were surprised when we approached the college and was interested faculty to introduce pupils to sixth classes. But we are very happy, because the orientation in the university environment will allow them to rub-off barriers, it is certainly also addressed the beauty of this environment, "evaluated the successful action Lenka Mazurková, elementary school teacher I Sekanina in Ostrava-Poruba.
Children are naturally playful and inquisitive. Through games and competitions as they can for a moment, take a peek behind the scenes technical fields and find that it's actually quite fun and there is no need to worry about them. Today we know that completing the building of the faculty will get an interesting job in a promising field. Whether chance to use time will tell. However, it is quite certain that after graduating from the humanities is expanding skills to include technical and natural sciences more difficult and often impossible.
