At the University of Pardubice, held a lecture about the accident in Fukušimě

On Thursday 21 April at the University of Pardubice will talk about the accident at the Japanese Fukušimě and its implications. The lecture on „Current knowledge of the accident at the Fukushima nuclear power plant“ will come to Pardubice Ing. Charles Klatovy, Ph.D., Secretary of Czech Nuclear Education Network CENEN – United Nuclear Education Network.

On Friday 11 March 2011 wiped out the north Japanese island of Honshu ten-meter tsunami caused by an earthquake of unprecedented strength of more than 9 degrees on the Richter scale. This disaster triggered the chain of circumstances that resulted in the nuclear power plant accident in Fukushima. And this issue will give its contribution Ing. Charles Klatovy, Ph.D., Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication University of Technology in Brno.

  • "Dr. Klatovský deals transmutation of spent nuclear fuel and physics calculations of active zones of nuclear reactors. Information about the accident and radiation situation in the context of attempts to introduce knowledge about accidents at Three Miles Island and Chernobyl, "* brings theme that Mgr. Libor Koudela Pardubice branch chairman of the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists.

The lecture was organized by the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists – a branch of Pardubice, Department of Mathematics (UM) Faculty of Economics and Management (FES) and the University of Pardubice, Department of Electrical, electronics and safety equipment (KEEZ) Jan Perner Transport Faculty (DFJP) University of Pardubice.

The lecture will be held on Thursday, 21 ** April at 17:00 in the Auditorium A2 ** University Auditorium. ** Admission is free .**

** Ing. Charles Katovská, Ph.D. ** graduated from Technical University in Prague, where as the academic staff in 2010, taught physics of nuclear reactors, since 2011 Professor of Nuclear Energy at the Technical University in Brno. The scholarly work is concerned with transmutation of spent nuclear fuel and physics calculations of active zones of nuclear reactors. The Dukovany nuclear power deals with internal fuel cycle optimization. Charles Katovská is also secretary of the Czech Nuclear Education Network CENEN – United Nuclear Education Network.
