Academic Senate of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice chosen candidate for the post of Dean for tenure until 2015

On Wednesday 16 February in the morning elected Academic Senate of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice candidate for the post of Dean for the next four years until 2015 – it is the current Dean of the Faculty Professor. Ing. Peter Lošťák, MD.

Last week, the academic community, the Faculty of Chemical Technology at a public meeting to present their vision to lead the faculty in the next three years, candidates for the head of the faculty – Prof. Ing. Peter Lošťák, MD., The current Dean, Professor. Ing. George Malek, MD., President of the University of Pardubice in the years 2006 – 2010, doc. Ing. Calling Peter, PhD., Dean of the faculty from 2001 – 2007.

At the election meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Chemical Technology has a narrow majority of 8 votes out of fifteen elected candidate for the post of Dean for the next term of the current Dean of the Faculty Professor. Lošťák. Chairman of the Academic Senate and by the choices made in the supreme representative academic bodies of the faculty will recommend a candidate for rector appointments.

The appointment of the nominee to the position of Dean of the University Rector is expected, with effect from 3 April 2011.

Prof. Peter Dean Lošťák Takes 1st term since 2007, according to the Higher Education may serve as the dean of two consecutive terms. In the years 2001 – 2007 he served as vice-dean of the Faculty of Education. Professionally active in the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry.

Faculty of Chemical Technology University Pardubice develop sixty-year tradition of teaching college chemistry, chemical technology and chemical-biological disciplines in Pardubice, grown since 1950, first at the University of chemicals, in 1953, later renamed the University of Chemical Technology.
