On Tuesday 8 February in the afternoon with the academic community of the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice present candidates for the post of Dean for the next four years.

At 14 o'clock on election meeting of the academic community's oldest University of Pardubice in the lecture hall C1 (HA building a new complex of the faculty in the university campus) will present three candidates who received the nomination for the office of the Dean. They are in alphabetical order:

  • Prof. Ing. Peter Lošťák, MD., The current dean of the faculty (2007 – present), Dean of the Faculty of Education from 2001 to 2007, the Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry;
  • Prof. Ing. George Malek, MD., President of the University of Pardubice in the years 2006 – 2010, Rector of the University in the years 2000 – 2006 (Foreign Relations and Research and Development), a former member of the Government Council for Science, Research and Innovation, Department of Physical Chemistry;
  • Prof. Ing. Calling Peter, PhD., Dean of the faculty in the years 2001 – 2004, 2004 – 2007, the current Dean of the Faculty of Science, Institute of Environmental and Chemical Engineering.

At a public election meeting will faculty from academia, students and staff and see it with your ideas about the future direction of faculty in all areas of its activities. A week later, on Wednesday, 16 ** February morning, then ** ** Election held meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Chemical Technology **, where senators will choose a candidate for the office of Dean for the next four years, which will recommend the appointment of the rector of the university. Peter Lošťák, MD., Ending the first four-year term of 2 April this year, therefore, the Academic Senate faculty announced elections for a candidate for this position for next season. Top fifteen autonomous representative academic body of the Faculty – Academic Senate – will elect a candidate for the office of Dean for the period 2011 – 2015. If the proposed candidate is elected, rektor jej universities would be called a position with effect from 3 April 2011.
