„The twentieth century is often referred to as the“ Golden století astronomy, but a decade has passed and the twenty-first astronomical discoveries are still piling up exponentially, perhaps one století can name this as a "Platinum století astronomy. In particular, the discovery of planets around other stars and extragalactic astronomy is developing very dynamically, "says Thomas a graph of the planetarium. Just trying to dynamically Observatory and Planetarium of Johann Palisa, organic and part of the HGF VŠB-TU Ostrava, 30 years to popularize and communicate the new astronomy and geoscience knowledge not only of the general public, but especially the young generation.

This spring, the first planetarium in the country to offer students and the public agenda for the stereoscopic audiovisual projections (3D). But the real new dimension will be if we manage to obtain funds from the EU to project Cosmic Gate. A new dimension in the popularization of science then become not only new technologies and new visitor visualization environment, but also much broader thematic scope and the possibility of a proactive approach to exhibits. Each of future visitors will be able to become co-creator of their experiences in space Cosmic Gate. Another area of ​​expansion will be building a separate building Experimentária (this project is now at the stage of finding appropriate funding).

The exhibition will be in New Dimension Gallery VSB-TUO available from 1 to 26 November 2010 and is formed by large colorful panels that not only document the history of planetariums, as well as their modern form. Visualizations are exhibited Cosmic Gate project and Experimentária. Part of the exhibition consists of large anaglyphs (3D) of astronomical objects. Entry to the gallery is free.
